10 Things You Need To Know About Fifty Shades Of Grey

8. Sex Scenes Were Re-shot Because Of "Poor Chemistry"

Just a month ago, it emerged that re-shoots were underway for the movie, and U.S. Weekly reported that the reason for this was that the producers were not happy with the lousy chemistry between Dornan and Johnson, which they felt lacked passion. The sex scenes were reportedly beefed up, with an anonymous source rather hilariously commenting that, "Dakota isn't coming off sexy enough. Ana needs to be naive, not a dishrag." Whether the final movie is actually as steamy as the filmmakers are hoping for remains to be seen, but it's not exactly a promising sign that, less than 4 months before the film is due to hit cinemas, cast chemistry is appearing to be a problem, something which should have been ironed out in the casting and table read stages over a year ago. Of all the questionable publicity surrounding the film, this is easily the most damning evidence that Fifty Shades isn't quite shaping up how the studio would like. Whether it can be salvaged by that week of re-shoots, audiences will have to wait and see.
