10 Things Nobody Wants Admit About The Amazing Spider-Man Films
1. Andrew Garfield Was A Fantastic Peter Parker
When Andrew Garfield was first cast as Spider-Man, many scoffed at the idea of him playing Peter Parker because he was simply too good-looking to ever be a convincing socially-awkward nerd like Peter. That, however, is what makes it all the more impressive that he pulled it off.
But to say that he 'pulled it off' simply wouldn't do his performance justice. No, Garfield captured that essence of Peter that we already spoke about with a calm ease, giving us a Peter Parker that felt like he had walked off the pages of a Marvel comic book. He was goofy like it was second nature, intentionally awkward in his approach and, for lack of a better term, endearingly cute in a way that only Peter Parker could be.
Garfield's prowess as an actor is well-documented and, still, it doesn't feel enough people are willing to give him credit for his performance as Peter and Spider-Man. Granted, both films had their shortcomings, but the perfectly-cast Garfield was not one of them.
