10 Things To Expect From Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4
7. A Standalone Hulk Movie
Marvel Studios have been extremely nervous about pulling the trigger on a standalone Hulk movie despite how much so many fans want it. As for why, Mark Ruffalo perhaps put it best last year: "Traditionally you’re watching a guy who doesn’t want to do the very thing that you want him to do. It’s hard to take for two hours." Plus, it's not like the previous two Hulk movies were rapturously embraced.
Still, considering how the Ruffalo Hulk has managed such a perfect harmony between awesome destruction and comic relief, it's unsurprising that he's become a fast fan favourite, and audiences are certainly eager to see the big green dude as the main event rather than a supporting attraction.
Plus, if people want to give you money to make something, eventually you've got to give in, right? It'd be a major shock if the MCU got to 2023-2024 without a Hulk movie.
