10 Things We'll Miss About Blockbuster Video Stores

2. Organization

Hs Diploma Blockbuster1 Unless someone wasn't doing their job, Blockbusters were always very well organized. All of the new releases were in their designated space in alphabetical order. All of the "favorites" were in the designated genres in alphabetical order. If you knew what you were looking for, you knew exactly where to go. Now, I don't have any experience with Redbox, but Netflix has got to be one of the most disorganized systems I have ever seen. There doesn't ever seem to be any rhyme or reason to how the choices are presented to me. They jump around the alphabet, they give me a movie that came out three years ago and then suggest a movie that came out in the 70s, and their recommendation categories are completely off the wall. "Gory, Supernatural, Cult movies", "Mind-bending Romantic Foreign movies", "Cool Mustaches"? All recommended Netflix categories. In Blockbuster, I believe there were about a dozen. And that's all there needs to be. I don't want to see the same movie being recommended to me because it applies to every version of romance Netflix computers could come up with, you know what I mean? It really just makes me shake my head sometimes.
