10 Things You Need To Know About The MCU’s Spider-Man

7. He€™s Really Young

The image above depicts Tom Holland in the How I Live Now movie from 2013, alongside Saoirse Ronan. Although Tom Holland has aged a bit since then, it gives us an idea of just how youthful he can appear if you add baggy clothes, glasses and scruffy hair to his God-given looks. This ties in well with the MCU Spider-Man. Tom Holland is 19 years old at the moment, but when we meet Peter Parker he€™ll be even younger than Holland. €œHe€™s just 15 now,€ director Jon Watts told Empire Magazine about the protagonist his 2017 Spider-Man movie. He's been Spidey for a year, but he's still very much a youngster. €œI love the idea of making a coming-of-age high school movie,€ Watts elaborated in his interviewing, before explaining that €œwe€™re really going to see Peter Parker in high school and get deeper into that side of it.€ Expect Spidey to be battle bullies as often as supervillains, then, as well as having to find time for his schoolwork. It€™ll be fun to spend more time at this stage of Peter€™s life, since the previous cinematic Spidey franchises both rushed past these high school years to get to Peter€™s college years and/or adulthood.
