Most of the Avengers team as we currently know them are set fair for further adventures but not necessarily all of them. Few films have ever been the subject of more speculation and scuttlebutt than Age Of Ultron, and some reliable sources have reported that there will indeed be a major casualty.

Whether there’s any truth to that rumour remains to be seen, but several sources have also run with the story that regardless of Ultron’s success or failure in his attempts to vanquish Cap and Co., the events of this movie will have far-reaching ramifications.

At the risk of revealing more than is absolutely necessary, let’s just say that the Avengers team may never be the same again after their latest challenge. Age Of Ultron should feature plenty of shade to darken Whedon’s trademark sparky team dynamics, and trailer footage revealing Thor literally at Tony Stark’s throat amid other strained relations suggests a neat little bow won’t be required come the movie’s end.

In that it’s also effectively been confirmed that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will be on opposite sides when the classic Civil War comic book storyline is given the big screen treatment, don’t expect any second helpings of shawarma this time round.
