10 Times James Bond Movie Franchise Went Too Far

5. Making Blofeld And Bond Related - SPECTRE

Immediately after the 24th official Bond film received the title "SPECTRE", fans suspected the organisation's Supreme Commander, Blofeld, would be the main villain. Even though the director and actors repeatedly denied these claims, we knew Christoph Waltz's credited character, Oberhauser, was a ruse.

When Waltz' character reveals he is Blofeld, viewers didn't bat an eye. But the next thing he said made our jaws drop. Blofeld informed Bond that they are half-brothers. However, fans didn't find this revelation jaw-dropping because it was an amazing twist - they found this moment shocking because it was stupid.

What are the chances that Bond would become Britain's biggest secret agent and his sibling would become the world's most powerful terrorist? Also, how come nobody has ever mentioned this prior? (You'd think MI6 would've noticed the man they're hunting happens to be the brother of the guy sent to find him.)

But that's not the worst part. Do you know why Blofeld became a master criminal? Because his parents loved Bond more than him. You hate to say it, but the character would've been more interesting if Blofeld was a generically evil baddie.
