10 Trippiest Horror Movies Of All Time

8. The Greasy Strangler

The Greasy Strangler is that rarest of movies so damn weird it'll leave you sniffing whatever you're drinking for any sign of tampering, and you'll probably crave a long, hot shower afterward just to wash the stink off.

Jim Hosking's black comedy-horror revolves around the titular serial killer, a man who douses himself in grease and strangles people to death. But even that madcap logline vastly undersells how bizarre the film is, vaulting from literally eye-popping death scenes to intentionally discomforting full-frontal nudity, and surely the most grotesque cooking scenes ever committed to celluloid.

It is as confrontationally un-commercial as cinema gets, and yet, both fascinatingly off-kilter and at times genuinely hilarious in its own right. Love or hate The Greasy Strangler - and it really is a coin flip either way, honestly - you'll almost certainly spend the next week walking around and randomly shouting "Bulls**t artist!" after watching it (you'll see).
