Introduced in NYX #3, X-23 is a powerful weapon – as well as a clone of Wolverine – brainwashed and conditioned by a secret government agency to fulfil various sinister objectives, including various assassination missions, one involving a presidential candidate. Later, the character would become a member of the X-Men seeking to redeem herself.

X-23 is a mutant, but could easily be reintroduced as an inhuman with an alternate codename to avoid licensing issues. That said, the character’s personality should remain intact – a child of lost innocence, conditioned to perform heinous acts, reformed as a superhero with a tragic backstory and countless enemies, including some intrinsically connected to her previous criminal endeavours.

There are many possibilities with this particular character – including allying her alongside the Winter Soldier – making her an ideal candidate for the MCU.
