10 Underrated Disney Films Everyone Forgets

2. Freaky Friday

Everyone knows the story of Freaky Friday, in which an angsty teenager and her type-A mother switch bodies, but the 2003 remake starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis has been receiving more attention as of late.

Few people know that the 1976 original, starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris, is arguably better in its simplicity. It comes off more like a sitcom than a feature film and both women give incredible performances in their roles. In some cases, it makes one wonder why a remake even happened at all.

Jodie Foster has since gone on to win an Oscar for The Silence of the Lambs and has also ventured into directing, but this early role of hers shouldn't be forgotten.

She may be all grown up, but let's not forget that she was once part of the Disney-verse that needs some more attention.
