10 Universally Disliked Blockbusters (That Really Aren’t That Bad)

Predator 2 rocks; it’s a violent, fast paced action movie with creative setpieces and likeable heroes.

Yet for some reason, it often gets dismissed, with many claiming the only memorable thing about it is the Alien skull seen in the Predator spaceship.

While it suffers from a lack of Arnie – which is true of most movies – Predator 2 still stands on its own. Danny Glover makes for a great lead, Bill Paxton steals every scene as his sidekick and Gary Busey is a great slimy villain. The movie has quality action with the subway attack and the slaughterhouse ambush, and it even introduced iconic Predator gear like the wire net and the spear.

The movie probably could have used a trim, since the final showdown drags out far too long. Nitpicks aside though Predator 2 is an underrated gem, and it’s a mystery it has such a weak reputation. Go watch Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem, if you want to see what a really terrible Predator sequel looks like.
