It is too often forgotten that movie characters aren't perfect. They aren't always going to make the best choices, they won't always be as smart as they need, and sometimes there are certain things that audiences would have done that weren't even considered on screen.

These aren't plot holes, they are imperfect characters being imperfect. However, there is a limit to this. You could forgive them not coming up with what would have been a winning idea, but sometimes there are moments of sheer stupidity that can't be overlooked.

Take The Old Guard 2 as a great example. At the beginning of the sequel, Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team head into a dangerous situation to recover some weapons, and choose Andy herself, as well as Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to lead the charge. This is easily the worst thing they could have done, and is such a bad plan it's kind of infuriating.

The team is primarily made up of immortal beings... but heading first into the danger while the actual immortals hung back are the only two people who could have died. Yes, Andy had her whole "I'm always first" thing going on, but there was literally no need for Copley to be there at all, let alone in the thick of it. Yes, characters don't always make the right decisions, but this one felt like it was too stupid to forgive.
