Of all the bad guys Lex could have chosen for his Injustice League, why Deathstroke? Well, it's likely because the mention of "a League of our own" was added in reshoots, and had Ben Affleck directed and starred in The Batman, his Dark Knight was set to go to war with Joe Manganiello's Slade.

With that in mind, Lex was probably going to hire Deathstroke to kill Batman in a bid for revenge after what happened in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, with The Batman now serving as a reboot starring Robert Pattinson and Gareth Evans' Deathstroke movie on hold, we're not ever going to learn what led to these two crossing paths or see that villainous League assemble on screen.
