10 Upcoming Comic Book Movie Decisions That Have Already Angered Fans

8. Tom Hardy Leaves Suicide Squad

Of course, there's still chance for Tatum to jettison that potential train wreck and join...another potential train wreck. This past week brought the surprise news that Tom Hardy was departing from DC's supervillains-go-covert-ops film Suicide Squad almost as quickly as he'd joined it. Which was surprise news to start with. Once fans had gotten over the confusion that Hardy would be so eager to fling himself into another DC comic book role when he'd already done that fairly recently, people were generally excited to see Hardy lead an all-star cast that also included Will Smith and Jared Leto. Then he left the project, allegedly due to being dissatisfied with the script and the amount of screen time his character Rick Flag would be getting in the finished product. Jake Gyllenhaal's being eyed as a replacement, but geeks love some Tom Hardy. At least they'll always have Mad Max.
