10 Upcoming Comic Book Movies No One Needs Or Wants

9. Inhumans

Marvel took a major gamble when they decided to make Guardians Of The Galaxy, but after that movie's success, you can't blame them for being bold with their Phase 3 slate. The Inhumans sticks out like a sore thumb though. Lacking any sort of definitive arc or devoted fan base, it's hard to figure out where this obscure bunch fit into Marvel's grand plan. Vin Diesel has put himself forward for the role of Black Bolt, but when you have a lead character who doesn't speak and a supporting cast without anyone near as memorable or unique as Rocket and Groot, it becomes very hard to work out how Marvel will sell this. That's their problem though, and the fact remains that there's little reason to be excited about The Inhumans. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second season certainly didn't do a particularly strong job of selling the concept, and while this could be Marvel's most unique release to date, there's also a very strong chance that it will be their least interesting and essential.
