10 Upcoming Comic Book Movies No One Needs Or Wants
4. LEGO Batman
The LEGO Movie was fantastic, and the fact that it didn't even get a look in at the Oscars is a crime. While the sequel is an exciting prospect, the same can't be said for the spinoff focusing on Will Arnett's Batman. While this blocky version of the Dark Knight was fun enough to watch, spending a solid two hours or so with him promises to be nothing short of tedious. Of all the Batman movies fans were hoping would reach the big screen at some point in the next few years, this probably wasn't what they had in mind. The potential for it to be fun is definitely there (especially if it includes a ton of classic villains and supporting characters), but this reeks of Warner Bros. just trying to cash in on one of The LEGO Movie's success by thrusting one its most popular supporting players into a movie which just isn't needed. After all, what will it bring to the table that hasn't already been done in the LEGO Batman video games? Even the biggest fan of the movie this spinoff hails from can't be counting down the days until the LEGO Caped Crusader ends up taking the spotlight.
