5. Fantastic Four
Like Daredevil, comic book fans have been hoping that Marvel would regain the rights to the Fantastic Four. Fox's first two attempts at movies starring these classic characters failed miserably, and it's hard not to get excited over the prospect of this team fighting Galactus alongside The Avengers. For now though, that remains little more than a nice fantasy. Instead, Chronicle director Josh Trank is rebooting the property in what looks like it might be a great movie, but not a great adaptation of the source material. While it's clearly taking inspiration from the Ultimate line of comics, this isn't the Fantastic Four most fans want. As a result, it's hard to find a single mention of Fantastic Four online without a comments section featuring fans hoping it will flop and that the rights will subsequently return home. Between
rumours of backstage drama and a lack of any real sort of buzz around the reboot, there's a good chance that those hoping it will fail might just end up getting their wish.
