7. Legend (Christopher Eccleston)
Christopher Eccleston's tenure aboard the TARDIS was short but sweet but 13 episodes was all he needed to affirm himself as one of the show's most popular and immersive Time Lords. He's seemingly a fan of leaving his mark on the world's formidable franchises, too, as to date he's also appeared in cult classics such as 28 Days Later, Thor and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (though the less said about that last one, the better!). Seriously. For someone who doesn't "like to bathe in the same river twice", he sure does seem adamant on getting wet. So to speak. If you're a fan of his brooding Northern charm, get ready for the upcoming crime thriller Legend which is making its way to cinemas this September. Christopher takes on the guise of Leonard "Nipper" Read in the film, a real life police officer who was in charge of taking down Ronald and Reginald Kray, identical twins (both of whom are portrayed by Tom Hardy) who terrorised London during the 1950s and 60s. Again, no trailer for this one but it looks set to be one of Christopher's most gripping roles to date. Keep 'em peeled!
