10 Upcoming Films You'll See Even If The Reviews Are Terrible

5. Fifty Shades Of Grey

Release Date: 13th February, 2015. What's It About: Beginning life as a Twilight fan-fiction, Fifty Shades Of Grey grew into its own phenomenon, causing a mixture of weak knees and stifled giggles. Telling the story of student Ana Steele and her relationship with the incredibly rich (and handsome), Christian Grey, the film adaptation will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and has caught the eye of a lot of people. We've not read the book and have tried our best to avoid spoilers so can only guess as to what all the fuss is about. Maybe it's the critical grubbing the book received, prompting comparisons to The Godfather, another less-than-well regarded novel that spawned an utter masterpiece. Why You'll See It: We could continue to string out a paragraph about how you're curious how a mainstream adaptation of a novel such as this will turn out, particularly given that Taylor-Johnson's directorial debut, Nowhere Boy, really got to the heart of the subject matter, but we'd be lying. You're going to see this because of the sex.
