1. It's Not Found Footage - Hell House LLC: Lineage
Hell House LLC is one of the most surprisingly fertile and consistent found footage horror franchises there is, and later this summer, the fifth and final film in the series is due to release - Hell House LLC: Lineage.
The trailers released so far don't give much away and mostly just sell the eerie vibes, enough that you might not even realise that Lineage will be ditching the series' found footage format altogether. This latest sequel will be presented in a conventional cinematic style, which is a rather bold choice on the part of filmmaker Stephen Cognetti, who evidently wants to try something different as the franchise bows out.
Considering how passionate fans of found footage tend to be, and how the Hell House series has carved out quite the successful niche for itself with that style, it's likely to be a disappointing outcome for some. However, Cognetti has promised that Lineage will be the scariest film in the franchise - here's hoping he's right about that.
