10 Upcoming Movie Performances Doomed To Fail
5. Chris Pratt - Garfield
There's no denying that Chris Pratt can definitely bring something to the big-screen party, should said cinematic get-together require a slapstick, loveable goofball/loser to overcome the odds and somehow find a way to save the day.
However, on more than a few occasions in recent times, the star who appears to be Hollywood's favourite Chris at this current moment has found himself being entirely miscast and forced into roles he simply does not need to be anywhere near in a bid to ensure a film appeals to a wider audience.
Look no further than the recent announcement of the Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy star being squeezed into the voice-box of animated grump Garfield in the latest attempt at giving the Monday-hating fur-ball the big-screen treatment. And the widespread backlash said news inevitably received.
There's an argument to be made that this much negative press heading into a project before it's even actually touched down in a theatre could ensure folks are lining up to see Pratt's ill-fated attempts at loving lasagne in cinemas. But they'll also likely be a pretty tough crowd to please, and already reeling from his voiceover stint as Mario a year prior.
