10 Upcoming Movie Performances Doomed To Fail

4. Taylor Swift - Amsterdam

There's no questioning the fact that Taylor Swift is a freakishly talented singer/song-writer and one of the genuine voices of her generation. Her time in the movie business, however, hasn't boasted quite as many hits as her music career.

In fact, her last official role as part of a cinematic adventure saw Swift taking on the part of Bombalurina in the entirely panned CGI disaster that was Cats in 2019, with the star notably being afforded very few lines of dodgey cockney dialogue that time around.

And Tom Hooper's reluctance to over-expose Swift in the feline-stuffed feature doesn't seem to suggest the pop sensation will fair any better in her latest star-studded ensemble showing either.

Joining the likes of Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Robert De Niro and many more undoubtedly gifted souls, the severe lack of Swift in much of the marketing for David O. Russell's incoming mystery comedy by the name of Amsterdam could be a result of the director also not being all that convinced by the world-famous musician's acting chops in the incoming flick.

Maybe it would've been wise to call it a day after her wooden Valentine's Day display? Or maybe she'll put in an Oscar-winning shift and thoroughly Shake, Shake, Shake off her prior poor performances?
