Bohemian Rhapsody Trailer
20th Century Fox

Despite a troubled production (which resulted in a director switch-up midway through shooting) Bohemian Rhapsody's excellent first trailer managed to quell a lot of fears about whether or not the project was on the right track.

From the perfect casting of Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury to the clear love and passion that the filmmakers (and marketing team) have for Queen's music, Bohemian Rhapsody seems like it has all the right pieces in place to not just be a fantastic movie, but a global event that celebrates one of the greatest bands of all time.

Directed by Bryan Singer (before his sacking) and Dexter Fletcher (who helmed the severely underrated Eddie The Eagle, another biopic), both these filmmakers bring important skills to the table: Fletcher, the one capable of imbuing troubled men with a convincing drive and perseverance, and Singer, the master of the ensemble.

Based on these traits, Bohemian Rhapsody will deliver us a compelling Freddie Mercury surrounded by an eclectic, intriguing supporting cast and story, and you know what... we cannot wait for it.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
