10 Upcoming Movies That Mean The Death Of Cinema

3. Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Road Chip

Release Date: December 23, 2015 Were you aware that there are already three Alvin and the Chipmunks movies? Since the first instalment all the way back in 2007, Hollywood has pushed out a further two more chapters in this ongoing saga of squeaky voices and Jason Lee's ailing career, to the point where somebody with no care for artistry decided to greenlight a fourth movie. Not a single Alvin and the Chipmunks movie has been worthwhile, of course; you knew that already. The CGI is ugly, the scripts are insultingly bad, the actors are cringeworthy... Now, some will argue that these flicks are just for kids, and that they're harmless. It's certainly something to consider, but does humanity really need to feed its offspring such tasteless drivel? You wouldn't want your kid to eat a cheeseburger, after all, so why would you give it Alvin and the Chipmunks, in which every subsequent movie kills brain function? The existence of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, coming 2015 and starring - you won't believe it - Jason Lee, reaffirms the death of cinema for one definitive reason: it is proof that a franchise can grow worse with each chapter, make less money, and still it can result in a fourth f*cking movie. That's the sort of world we live in, people.
