Any film tasked with bringing the barmy life of the king of parody himself Weird Al Yankovic to the big-screen was always destined to be a rather surreal affair.

And sure enough, the first few glimpses of Daniel Radcliffe going full Yankovic have not disappointed in the slightest. But the first few teaser trailers likely let loose a premise some folks weren't prepared for heading into this supposed biopic.

With the film setting out to tell the "true" story of Al's rise to superstardom, based on a fake trailer produced by Funny or Die depicting the comic superstar's life as being one overflowing with sex, drugs, and drama, a shot of Evan Rachel Woods' iteration of Madonna asking Yankovic to parody "Like a Virgin" before getting a touch steamy with the "Like a Surgeon" star definitely set the tone for this no doubt ludicrous ride.

For those expecting to see a warts and all honest dive into what went into forging this iconic song-spinning sensation, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story may not be the biopic for you. But for fans of ridiculous fake curls, accordion solos, and Rainn Wilson in a top hat, does Al have the film for you!
