10 Upcoming Sci-Fi Movies To Be Excited About
5. Black Widow
The female-led Marvel that we've been waiting nearly a decade for, Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff finally gets the leading role she deserved when Black Widow explodes onto the big-screen this year - albeit much later than initially expected.
The film will take place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War (back when the character was considered a war criminal and the MCU hadn't been decimated by Thanos), and it will finally delve into her history with the mysterious Red Room, highlighting how the Black Widows are conditioned and trained to become the assassins/spies that they are.
Perhaps a last hurrah for Johansson's incredibly popular hero, don't be expected to see her turn in her finest work yet as the hand-to-hand combat specialist. That said, she'll be supported by an incredible cast featuring the likes of David Harbour, Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz.
Originally expected to debut in May, it will now hit theaters in early November.
