10 Upcoming Sequels In Franchises You Thought Were Long Dead

6. Bridget Jones' Baby (20??)

There hasn't been a Bridget Jones movie for 10 years, and - let's face it - nobody has really been kept awake at night wondering when the next chapter might find its way into film form (especially since the second movie, subtitled The Edge of Reason, was certified rubbish). And yet another Bridget Jones movie is totally in the works under the working title of "Bridget Jones' Baby," which sort of speaks for itself, really. The first draft of a script was penned by Helen Fielding (who writes the Bridget Jones novels) and David Nicholls (author of One Day and Starter For Ten), though the latest reports tell us that Emma Thompson has been brought in to rework the script. Renee Zellweger is keen to star, we've heard, as is Colin Firth, whilst Hugh Grant - who plays bad boy Daniel Cleaver - has informed fans that he won't be involved. Spoil sport.
