4. Clerks III

It's been a while since Kevin Smith directed a movie which his fans really got behind - while thankfully he hasn't made anything as awful as Cop Out in quuite some time, his more recent movies don't live up to the same standard as films like Chasing Amy and Clerks. Still, the standout movies from his filmography are the Clerks franchise, and this is where he seems to be most at home, both as a writer and director. Not a great deal is currently known about the third - and presumably final - installment, although the original cast will be returning and Smith has stated his desire to start shooting this summer. Jeff Anderson, who plays Randal in the Clerks movies, said recently, "Clerks to me was a gritty movie. Clerks II became this brighter movie. Clerks III to me feels somewhere between 1 and 2. It feels a little gritty and we go back to the beginning stages, but we do see the progression." Anticipation factor: Probably the most anticipated film from Kevin Smith in quite some time - it'll be great to catch up with Jay and Silent Bob after a ten year absence. Release date: 1st August 2016
