10 Urban Legends That Should Be Horror Films

9. The White Death

What's the Legend? Hailing from Mexico, the tale of the White Death is the very simple (and ridiculously untrue) tale of a little girl who hated life so much that she wanted to kill herself and get rid of every trace she ever existed from the planet. Why such a small girl is having such a dramatic existentialist crisis is beyond me, but evidently, the story goes that should you hear about her death, she'll get mighty p*ssed off and return from the afterlife to rip all your limbs off. But first you'll hear a knocking on your door, because she's just that polite. Considering that you're still alive after reading about this, it's safe to say the legend is untrue straight out of the gate, but it's a great premise. What's the Movie? Kind of like The Ring - as much as that's been copied and homaged to death, the White Death could throw some interesting new dimensions onto it.
