10 Ways Star Wars Episode 8 Will Probably Rip Off Empire Strikes Back
7. Weird Visions
Episode VIIIs presumed Empire Strikes Back-style Jedi training sequences wouldnt be complete with a weird vision or two; echoing Lukes unreal duel with Vader which teased his familial relationship to the Sith Lord Rey will surely see some strange things as part of Lukes teachings in the next movie. This was teased already in The Force Awakens, with Rey seeing various images upon touching Anakin/Lukes old lightsaber. In this scene we saw Cloud City, the Knights Of Ren, Lukes hand on R2-D2 and Reys abandonment on Jakku. Perhaps in Episode VIII, Rey will have a vision that elaborates on a few of these ideas. Her past, in particular, would be imperative to see. Episode VIII could introduce a new locale, too, to serve the same purpose as the cave on Dagobah that was strong in Dark Side energy. Perhaps the planet from The Force Awakens' closing scene contains a similar site of evil influences, or maybe Luke and Rey will have to travel to somewhere else to find such a place. Either way, odd-seeming visions are surely a certainty for Episode VIII.
