10 Ways The MCU Can Reboot Deadpool
5. Recruitment By Xavier
If Deadpool and Deadpool 2 will be ignored then it's not a horrible idea to recycle a few of the plot points from these films. Although X-Force is a great debut idea (more on that later), his scene attempting to join the X-Men is also worthy of a second chance.
Perhaps Deadpool can help us get acquainted with Xavier's team by being a potential recruit. Audiences can head out with the X-Men (in whichever form the team takes) as they try to recruit this misguided mutant into their ranks.
Not all MCU events need to blatantly tie into the overarching story. In fact, many fans would prefer that many of the X-centric films could focus on their own storylines without being overshadowed by the major MCU events.
A first meeting between the X-Men and Deadpool allows audiences to get to know all of the characters organically, it gives an excuse for writers to shoehorn in expository dialog without seeming too out of place, and it keeps the focus on the mutants instead of the larger MCU.
