Album: Astro Creep 2000 (1995)

References: This is the White Zombie song with the chorus “Devilman Devilman calling Devilman/ Running in my head yeah”, but is Devilman a reference to the Japanese superhero or the Charles Manson song of the same name?

Knowing Zombie’s fascination with Manson (he recently attempted to get a dramatized version of the Tate murders on TV with author Brett Easton Ellis), it’s tempting to say the former, but artwork for the 1996 single shows the Manga character.

Dialogue Samples: “Look, I know the supernatural is something that isn’t supposed to happen, but it does happen.”

- The Haunting (1963)

“It is not heresy, and I will not recant!”

“Insipienta corde suo, non es deus. Non est vita qui adorem, non es usque ad unum. Es excommunicatus ex unione fidelium.” (“Foolish of heart, thou art not a god. There is no life for those who do not adore, and to a man thou hast not. Thou art excommunicated from the union of the faithful.”)

- To The Devil A Daughter (1976)
