6. Planet Hulk Set Up
Planet Hulk is one of the most popular Hulk stories of all-time, and both Kevin Feige and Mark Ruffalo have been fielding questions about a possible adaptation since The Avengers was released in 2012. Despite the fact that they've both said they don't think a movie version would work (mainly due to the lack of Bruce Banner), lots of rumours were pointing to the Hulk being blasted into outer space at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. That would have directly led into a solo movie for the Hulk or even a possible appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (Guardians of the Galaxy: Planet Hulk?) if various reports were to be believed. However, despite the somewhat ambiguous way that the Hulk's fate was handed at the end of the sequel, there was nothing to indicate he'd take a trip into space. In fact, Nick Fury talking about the Quinjet splashing down removes any doubt (would one of the planes even be capable of travelling such distances?), but there is of course still a chance Marvel will surprise everyone by doing a version of the beloved story. The rumours about Age of Ultron ending with the Hulk actually being in space though were clearly wrong.
