10 Worst Horror Movie One-Liners

8. “I am the Wizard Master!” - Will Stanton, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

The Happening Mark Wahlberg
New Line Cinema

The third installment in the Elm Street series is often regarded as the best, apart from the original, and for good reason. The cast of young actors deliver surprisingly good performances, especially Patricia Arquette in her debut, that help the audience to invest in the group of doomed Elm Street teens.

This makes their inevitable deaths at the hands of Freddy genuinely affecting, which is uncommon for a slasher film such as this.

One such character in the Breakfast Club-like motley crew that make up the central cast is Will, a young wheelchair bound boy who passes the time in the mental institution, where the movie is set, by playing a Dungeons and Dragons-esque game.

During a dream sequence in which Will battles Freddy, he stands up from his wheelchair and declares “I am the Wizard Master!” While it is endearingly innocent, it’s also hard not to cringe as it appears like something from a cheesy kids movie, especially considering the questionable special effects following the line.
