2. Kro (Eternals)
There were several villains that presented themselves throughout Eternals, with the Deviants being the reason Sersi and co. were sent to Earth in the first place. The first species the Celestials created had become apex predators like never intended, and so the Eternals were sent to correct the mistake.
Initially, the Deviants were mindless beasts whose only purpose it was to destroy. However, after Kro took on the powers of Ajak and Gilgamesh, he transformed into a more sentient being, who began to question himself and the role he and the Deviants had to play.
Marvel Studios brought in Bill Skarsgård to voice the character, however he only had the chance to utter a few lines of dialogue before he was unceremoniously killed by Thena. This was essentially the end of the Deviants’ role in the story and it was incredibly underwhelming.
Kro's evolution ultimately had absolutely nothing to do with any part of the narrative, and changed nothing in the rest of the movie. He was one of the most pointless characters in any MCU movie in 2021, and it’s a shame Marvel Studios wasted the talents of Bill Skarsgård on him.
