10 Worst Movie Titles Of All Time

7. The Human Stain

Here's a movie that just sounds unappetising and unpleasant before you even learn anything about its content, and though we should blame the novel's author Philip Roth in actuality, this is one instance where changing the movie title would definitely have been beneficial. It's difficult to think of the film without imagining all the different bodily fluids that could amount to form "the human stain", even if the title is no doubt intended as a more allegorical reference to the protagonist's own troubles. The problem is that, being childish and filthy as we are, we think of it completely differently. It really doesn't help that the film was largely panned upon release for being overwrought; using such an unpleasant title certainly couldn't have helped - it essentially stained and tainted the film itself.
