10 Worst Western Movies Of Past 20 Years

1. The Ridiculous Six

Last, but certainly not least, we have The Ridiculous 6, an outright abysmal production that disgraces its genre and setting. Adam Sandler is an actor with some highs and many lows. Much of his comedic efforts have boiled down to the lowest common denominator and this production is no different.

Directed by Frank Coraci and released in 2015, six outlaws discover they apparently have the same father (played by Nick Nolte) and they set out to find him. With a cast comprised of Terry Crews, Jorge Garcia, Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider and Jake Wilson, The Ridiculous Six quickly squanders their talents on a painfully drab and unfunny outing.

Equally problematic is its portrayal of Native Americans, most notably the Apache. The film cooked up a fair bit of controversy before release when many extras left the production, feeling the way they were handled crossed the line of bad taste. Producers attempted to defend it by focusing on the film's satirical side, but it hardly makes up for other problems.

If all these flaws weren't bad enough, the film is one of those rare releases to score a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, effectively branding it a unanimous failure. Truly, it is the worst western in recent memory.
