7. Arthur's Coming-Of-Age Montage - King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword
Following the opening titles sequence in which young Arthur witnesses his mother and father (Eric Bana) slain by the evil Vortigern (Jude Law), Guy Ritchie depicts young Arthur's growth into a man and Vortigern's strengthening stranglehold over Britain through a slickly-edited montage.
Backed by Daniel Pemberton's bracingly intense musical score, the montage shows Arthur growing up in Londinium, scheming on the streets, learning how to fight, getting into scrapes and fostering his hated for Vortigern's regime.
This three-minute sequence is Ritchie at his level best, concisely detailing Arthur's formative years in visually compelling fashion, backed by one of the year's best musical scores.
