3. Xavier's Powers Vs. Wolverine's Claws - Logan

When Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) has a seizure in Oklahoma City, his telepathic powers go awry, freezing everyone in place save for Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Laura (Dafne Keen). This then allows Logan to kill each of the pursuing Reavers by stabbing his claws through their heads.

However, considering that the claws clearly destroy each victim's brain, and Xavier can only exert his powers over people with functioning brains, the dead Reavers should no longer be frozen in place, but rather fall down to the ground as any regular person would.

Some fans have argued that Xavier's powers are more complex than merely controlling the brain, or that it was perhaps possible for Xavier to still influence the Reavers' brains as neural activity doesn't cease immediately after death, but they're both pretty straw-clutching arguments.

Basically, it's a ridiculously cool scene and James Mangold doesn't want you to sweat the smaller details.
