11 Lame Post-Credits Scenes Everyone Regrets Waiting For
8. Skeletor Will Be Back - Masters Of The Universe (1987)
The Scene: Skeletor (a slumming and totally unrecognisable Frank Langella) emerges from the pit He-Man (Dolph Lundgren) knocked him down mere moments earlier, popping his head up to declare, "I'll be back", as the screen freezes and fades to black. How Long You Waited: 3 minutes, 59 seconds. Why Everyone Regrets Staying For It: Firstly, the movie was absolutely terrible, so nobody really wanted this version of Skeletor to be back. Secondly, wasn't that bubbling pit supposed to kill him? It seems like a pretty lazy way to "resurrect" the villain by having him basically shout, "Surprise, it's just water!". Then there's the fourth wall-breaking nature of the moment: who is he talking to? And finally, there's the horrible freeze frame (pictured above) which holds Skeletor in a hilariously awkward facial expression as the movie finally comes to a complete end. Of course, Skeletor never came back after the movie bombed with both audiences and critics, so at least Langella's career wasn't tarnished any further by a sequel... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2EUkkX16Lk
