7. Howard The Duck - Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)
The Scene: The Collector (Benicio del Toro) is shown sitting in the ruins of his lab when he's consoled by Cosmo the telepathic Soviet space dog (yes, really), who licks his face. An off-screen voice then asks, Why do you let him lick you like that for?", and cue a cut to Howard the freaking Duck (voiced by Seth Green), as he says "gross" and takes a swig of his drink. How Long You Waited: 6 minutes, 1 second (after the Baby Groot dance finishes). Why Everyone Regrets Staying For It: Because this one is pure trolling on Marvel's part. They know that fans always wait behind for an epic scene to set up the next big MCU adventure, and played with expectations big time by basically making Guardians' post-credits scene a throwaway gag. If you're not familiar with Howard the Duck (namely George Lucas' misguided attempt to make a film out of it in 1986), then the gag is even more weird and nonsensical, and likely to have left you exiting the cinema disgusted that you wasted time you could've spent heading home.
