11 Major VFX Errors You Won't Believe Were Missed

9. Hanging Around - Batman & Robin

X-Men: Apocalypse
Warner Bros

There isn't much to love about this film. Sure it is bright, colourful and some of the characters are interesting, but this single-handedly killed off the franchise until Christopher Nolan swooped along and saved it with Batman Begins in 2005.

Where Batman & Robin goes wrong in FX terms is a scene when Barbara Wilson (pre-Batgirl) is hurtling off a bridge just after a motorbike chase sequence. Luckily Robin catches her at the last moment and even more luckier for him, has his foot trapped which stops him from falling too.

What wasn't lucky for the audience is the fact they were subjected to some terrible late-'90s green screen action in the process. Here, Barbara, is barely moving in the air as she is suspended there, but the backdrop behind her is shaking like crazy.

How anyone thought that these two shots would match up is mystifying, but somehow this made it to the big screen and every other home release since.
