11 Potential Villains For MCU's Sinister Six
8. The Prowler
The Prowler's alter ego, Aaron Davis, exists in the MCU, but his role - much like Michael Mando's Mac Gargan/Scorpion (more on him later) - didn't amount to much. He gave Spider-Man some help, and through some dialogue, he teased Miles Morales. At the end of the day, functionally speaking, he was just a criminal for Spider-Man to confront.
Maybe that's it, but why would the writers, the director, and the producers go through the trouble of conceptualizing a role for him, writing said role, casting him, and paying him to shoot scenes if, at the end of the day, all they needed was a generic criminal? If they needed a goon for Spidey to confront, why did he need to be that VERY specific character? They could've just credited him as Goon #7. Sure, it could have been a happy little easter egg, but another route seems more likely.
This is because it seems impossible there aren't plans to use the character further down the line. They have to. Maybe not in Spider-Man 3, maybe not in Spider-Man 4, but SOMEWHERE.
We're talking about a popular actor playing the alter ego of a character that Sony put front and centre in Into the Spider-Verse, and so it seems more than likely that we haven't seen the last of Aaron Davis.
