11 Potential Villains For MCU's Sinister Six

7. Venom

As previously stated with Morbius, Sony wants their Spider-Man villain-verse to be big, and they CLEARLY want some cross-pollination with the MCU.

Although Venom has been the only installment in Sony's live-action universe thus far (with Morbius's release date pushed back to March of 2021 in light of the COVID pandemic), it was tremendously successful... commercially, at least. Critics ravaged it, but it made over $850 million, so OBVIOUSLY they were going to move forward.

The sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is set to release in 2021, and will debut - obviously - Carnage as the main villain. Spider-Man and Venom have joined forces to take on Carnage in the past, but it remains to be seen if Spidey will make a surprise appearance in the film.

Even if he doesn't, fans WANT Venom and Spider-Man together. Sony knows this, and they're most assuredly setting some machinations in motion to get fans the team-up/face-off they so desperately desire. May it come in the form of Venom joining the Sinister Six? Might Eddie Brock go to work trying to uncover the truth of Quentin Beck's murder at the hands of Spider-Man? Why not? He IS a journalist, after all.
