5. Green Arrow

Back in the days when Batman Begins was delighting everyone, David S Goyer tried his hand at bringing Green Arrow to the big screen, writing the excellent sounding Escape From Supermax. Seemingly based on the same comic that gave life to Arkham Asylum, Escape... would have seen Arrow fighting against hordes of lower level DC villains in a bid for freedom.

It was a genius idea and while it was scrapped, the DC screen landscape has seen two major developments that could make it possible. Firstly, Arrow has proved extremely popular on TV, and secondly Suicide Squad proves that bringing in multiple "lesser" villains is entirely marketable. The only question really is whether Warner Bros would go to Green Arrow so quickly and as a top billed character in his own blockbuster.

Probability: 2/10

It's a nice idea - particularly as there were plans for an excellent sounding Green Arrow movie already - but the idea of Green Arrow beating Green Lantern Corps into cinemas borders on the ludicrous.

But let's hope someone at Warner Bros remembers this script is still on ice somewhere and brings it back - even if it ends up being a future Batman movie.
