10. Richard Armitage
He might play Thorin Oakenshield a little one-note in The Hobbit movies (shades of grumpiness is still one-note), but there is far more range in his past work and far more suggestion that he would be a good outside bet for the Doctor. The comparative lack of Hollywood acting chops might seem an impediment, but Armitage now knows what it takes to take a front and centre role in a mega-franchise, and Kevin Feige has already openly stated he doesn't necessarily need a movie star in the lead. Armitage has geek credentials, not only with Thorin under his belt, but also having played a part in Robin Hood, and while he's already played a part in the MCU as Heinz Kruger in Captain America that should be no impediment to his playing Strange.
