12 Bad-Ass DC Movie Scenes That We Almost Got To See
5. Batman In Arkham - Batman: The Frightening
In the early stages of Batman Begins' development, Warner Bros were considering calling it Batman: The Frightening. Thankfully, they saw sense, and that God-awful name was consigned to the scrap heap of history. But the script apparently did end up out in the wild - as shared by AICN - and featured some stunning moments.
The best came in the shape of Batman's escape from Arkham Asylum, which would also feature flash-backs explaining how he ended up in there in the first place.
The reason you didn't get to see any of that in the film is that the script actually proved to be a fake. There was to be a Batman: The Frightening, which focused on Batman's first encounter with The Scarecrow (and which would have been exceptional), but the treatment was a fake, written by Brandon Gaines.
Unfortunately for him - and us - the studio didn't pay enough attention, and the script - as well as its legitimate counterpart written by Terry Hayes and Rafael Yglesias never made it to screen.
