12 Best Entrances In Comic Book Movies

9. Just Like Arnold... But With More Clothes €“ The Avengers (2012)

Tesseract or not, an interstellar entrance from across the universe is impressive. Sure, Loki had been on Earth in 2011€™s Thor, but based on the much higher box office gross of The Avengers, it€™s safe to assume his arrival in that S.H.I.E.L.D. bunker was the first time most moviegoers saw him. Burdened by glorious purpose, actor Tom Hiddleston is surprisingly courteous, remembering to say, €œplease,€ ahead of his requests. He disarms viewers with his innate charm while threatening humanity€™s free existence. Menace doesn€™t have to be scary when it€™s articulated so beautifully. Loki€™s entrance is also awarded points for its effectiveness. In one fell swoop, he relieves Nick Fury of the Tesseract while taking over the hearts and minds of Hawkeye and Dr. Erik Selvig. Loki is the boot and we, the deceived ants, are tricked into liking that which is about to step on us.
