9. Just Like Arnold... But With More Clothes The Avengers (2012)
Tesseract or not, an interstellar entrance from across the universe is impressive. Sure, Loki had been on Earth in 2011s Thor, but based on the much higher box office gross of The Avengers, its safe to assume his arrival in that S.H.I.E.L.D. bunker was the first time most moviegoers saw him. Burdened by glorious purpose, actor Tom Hiddleston is surprisingly courteous, remembering to say, please, ahead of his requests. He disarms viewers with his innate charm while threatening humanitys free existence. Menace doesnt have to be scary when its articulated so beautifully. Lokis entrance is also awarded points for its effectiveness. In one fell swoop, he relieves Nick Fury of the Tesseract while taking over the hearts and minds of Hawkeye and Dr. Erik Selvig. Loki is the boot and we, the deceived ants, are tricked into liking that which is about to step on us.
