12 Comic Book Film Adaptations Stuck In Development Hell
6. Justice League Dark
Guillermo Del Toro must have his own special warehouse in Development Hell. Nearly two years after his take on DC's stable of dark and supernatural characters was first mooted, there is still no sign of any significant move towards production. Having seemingly been superseded by the Constantine TV show and Zac Snyder's upcoming JLA: Light approach, Justice League Dark looks like it may be joining the ever-growing pile of Del Toro's other works stuck in Development Hell. However the director himself has said he feels that the Constantine show would have no bearing on the project, and that the two could co-exist. Furthermore It is possible that Snyder's DCCU kickstart will be a huge success and have a knock on effect, which sees projects like this come to fruition. In the meantime though Justice League Dark looks like it may be joining At The Mountains of Madness, Frankenstein, Hellboy 3, Slaughterhouse-Five and Beauty and the Beast locked away in the infernal Del Toro warehouse.
As well as the odd article, I apply my "special mind" to scriptwriting for Comics, Films and Games... Oh and I cut down trees, I skip and jump, I like to press wild flow'rs, I put on women's clothing, and hang around in bars.
