2. Sabretooth Will Appear In Wolverine 3
The Rumour
Leiv Schrieber is set to return to the Wolverine franchise for a supporting role in the new movie. He has too, he's invincible just like his brother, and he stoked the rumour fires by tweeting at Hugh Jackman asking if he had to bulk up when Jackman posted his pre-Wolverine workout.
The Killer Proof
The tweet was nothing more than playful according to the actor himself, as he told Jimmy Fallon:
Well, what I heard was... I don’t know if I’m invited… But I heard that the storyline is Old Man Logan. And when I heard that, I thought, ‘Well, you know there’s old man Logan, there could be old man Sabretooth.’ The two of us like walkers.
So don't get too excited.
Would It Have Been Any Good?
Schrieber was pretty much the only great thing about X-Men: Origins, so seeing him back to play around as Sabretooth would have been great. Maybe it would have been an unhelpful allusion to that film (nobody wants to be classified as terrible by proximity), but it worked for Civil War when General Ross was brought back, so maybe it wouldn't have been a big deal.
It's a shame he's not going to at least cameo.
